The abominable snowman Bumble was a hit during the first Weaverville Christmas Light Parade Saturday, Dec. 20.
Downpours from the weekend storm decreased to a drizzle just in time for Weaverville’s first Light Parade on Saturday, Dec. 20. From a side-by-side-drawn-carriage ringing downtown with jingle bells, to Santa appearing in a firetruck as the Grinch surfed atop another. Heck, even Bumble – the abominable kind, not the app – was a crowd pleaser as he held onto a lit-up tree while they all rolled down Main Street spreading Christmas cheer. It was one of the most thrilling seven minutes on a Saturday night in Trinity County. The event was put on by the Weaverville Chamber of Commerce.
