Synopsis
Written by Broadway heavy hitters, Alan Menken (Disney’s Beauty and the Beast, Disney’s The Little Mermaid, Little Shop of Horrors) and Lynn Ahrens (Ragtime, Seussical).
Ebenezer Scrooge is a prosperous curmudgeon who believes that personal wealth is far more valuable than the happiness and comfort of others. With an infuriated “Bah! Humbug!” Scrooge is forced to face his selfish ways when three ghosts on Christmas Eve lead him through his Past, Present and Future. Thanks to their guidance, Scrooge recognizes his faults and greets Christmas morning with a cheerful “Happy Christmas” before spending the day reconnecting and sharing love with those that mean the most to him. A Christmas Carol is a spectacular adaptation of Charles Dickens’ most well-known story.

A Christmas Carol – The Redemption Legacy (2026)
The heavy iron bells of London toll once more, but in this brand-new chapter, Ebenezer Scrooge is no longer the man hiding from the chimes; he is the one keeping a watchful eye over the city. A Christmas Carol: The Redemption Legacy finds a completely transformed and elderly Scrooge, played by the brilliant Jim Carrey, living a life of boundless charity and radical kindness. However, he finds himself at odds with a London that is rapidly losing its soul to the cold, unfeeling industrialism of a new era. When a ruthless and ambitious high-society heiress, portrayed by Florence Pugh, threatens to demolish the city’s poorest quarters to build a profitable industrial complex, Scrooge realizes that some hardened souls require more than a lecture on morality—they require a profound spiritual journey.
Jim Carrey returns to the franchise with a dual mastery of his craft, portraying both the enlightened, elderly Scrooge and a brand-new, ethereal Spirit of Christmas Present. His performance is a breathtaking whirlwind of eccentric warmth, manic energy, and haunting wisdom, proving that the art of redemption is a lifelong craft that requires constant vigilance. Beside him, the legendary Gary Oldman reprises his role as a now-prosperous and respected Bob Cratchit, who serves as Scrooge’s moral anchor. Adding to the stellar ensemble, Benedict Cumberbatch joins the cast as the chilling and high-tech Spirit of Christmas Yet to Come, whose prophetic visions are more terrifyingly vivid and immersive than anything seen before.
