Unofficial Christmas tree ‘unlighting’ event causes late-night stir on …
TCU students received an email asking them to gather in the Campus Commons at midnight for the “TCU Christmas tree unlighting ceremony.” At least 150 students gathered in The Commons, said TCU police officer Kevin Fitchett.
Interim Police Chief Robert Rangel thanked the students who alerted police to the email: “You proved the best way to increase the safety and security of the campus community is to report suspicious activity before a crime can be committed.”

Look, you need the Tcu Academic Calendar Fall 2026. Forget the flowery garbage. This ain’t your grandma’s university brochure. This is about dates. Deadlines. Survival. The thing is, TCU’s system. It’s a beast. You gotta know when stuff hits. Or you’re toast.

Tips and Tricks for TCU Transfer Students — Lexy Goes Green
1. Adapting to a new environment will take time. When you first come to TCU, it will be a culture shock. Personally, I found the transition to be difficult at times; however, over time I learned a lot about myself and about how I wanted my college experience to be. It may take a while to adapt, but eventually, you will find your way.
2. Join numerous clubs and organizations. As soon as you start your classes, you need to figure out what clubs and organizations you want to be involved in on campus. Getting involved right away is very important. Decide what you are passionate about and go for organizations centered around that passion. You may experience rejection at first, I certainly did, but don’t get discouraged because eventually, everything will work out.
